Frequently asked questions

Which vehicle models can be tested?

Model coverage varies between makes and vehicle variants. Check the vehicle on the supported models page. Contact us if a model is missing or if you are unsure about a particular variant.

Do staff need technical training?

No. The workflow is designed for showroom staff. The device connects to the vehicle’s OBD port and the test is started in the mobile app.

What should I do if the test is interrupted?

Check that the ignition is on, the OBD device is connected securely and the phone has an internet connection. Then restart the app and try again. Call us if the issue persists.

How long does a battery test take?

Connecting the device and starting the test normally takes under two minutes. The total time may vary depending on the vehicle model and the data it makes available.

What does State of Health mean?

State of Health (SoH) describes the battery’s condition compared with when it was new. Definitions and calculations may differ between manufacturers. Learn more in our guide to SoH and capacity.

What information does the report contain?

The report brings together test results, vehicle details, available battery data, the method and relevant caveats. Its content depends on the data made available by the vehicle model. View a sample report.

Do you charge per test?

No. Optiledger is offered at a fixed monthly price, giving you predictable costs even as test volumes increase.
